NTPC has settled a complete dividend of Rs2,647 cr

State 0wned power producer National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) has settled a complete dividend of Rs2,647 cr to the govt for the fiscal yr 2010-11.

National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) Chairman and Managing Director Arup Roy Choudhury provided a final dividend cheque of Rs557.39 cr to Minister of Power Sushil Kumar Shinde.

It had provided an interim dividend of Rs2,090 cr in Feb.

‘NTPC renders a complete dividend payment of Rs2,647 cr to the Govt of India for the fiscal yr 2010-11,’ the firm mentioned in a statement.

The power producer has settled dividend to the govt for 18 consecutive years.
Based on the statement, the firm has settled a complete dividend of 38% of its paid-up capital for fiscal yr 2010-11, amounting to Rs3,133 cr.

Share holders okayed a final dividend of 8%, amounting to Rs659 cr while their annual general meeting on Sep 20.
