KKR promoter to_invest $120 million in Avantha Power

US private equity company KKR (Kohlberg Kravis & Roberts ) and also the promoter APIL will invest $120million in the Indian firm. KKR, that had invested $50million in Oct to obtain 9per cent share in Gautam Thaparcontrolled AvanthaPower, will obtain extra 11per cent equity stocks for $75million. The promoter’s holding companies will make a new investment of $45million.

Following the infusion of $120million, Avantha_Power’s finance need towards equity_contribution would be finish, mentioned a senior executive engaged in the deal. He mentioned KKR has a long-term look at India and it has generally backed Indian entrepreneurs.
