Indian Farmers Fertiliser CooperativeThe Iffco (Indian Farmers Fertiliser Cooperative) has approached the Union Budget’s proposal to accord-infrastructure status to investing in fertilizer manufacturing.

“We have Rs 5,500-6,000 cr value of investments in the pipeline for an additional 3 years. Permitting 100 %investment-linked tax discount for capital expenses in fresh plants as well capability additions in current facilities will clearly promote us to adopt these up”, Dr U.S. Awasthi, Managing Director of Indian Farmers Fertiliser Cooperative , told Business Line.

Indian Farmers Fertiliser Cooperative , that makes a 5th of the nation’s urea and nearly a 3rd of its phosphatic and also other complex fertilisers, presently has a urea manufacturing capability of 42.42 lk tonnes (lt) and 43.35 lt of phosphatic/complexes
